This coin was inspired by hours of looking at all things Templar, into the wee hours of the morning. We saw the old coins, Roman, Greek, etc., and liked the look of the old-school, stamped coins. So, we set off to make our own!
The Two-Riders is not specific to Masonry, but it is to the ancient Templars. Surrounding it, though, is the phrase all too familiar to our brothers in the Commandery.
On the back of the coin, we used one of the earliest symbols, representing Christianity. Around that, we have placed the words, “Tantum In Christo“, which is Latin for, “Only Through Christ“.
To top it all off, we instructed them to make it look like the edge of a stamped coin – which look is similar to a wax seal. The design is clearly detailed, but it appears as though some of the “silver” spilled out along the edges, during the process. In the case of this coin, the imperfections were deliberate.
It is a unique look that we think you will enjoy. Not being specifically Masonic, it is also appropriate to give to those outside of Masonry that may share your religious views.
We hope you like it!
